Tributes have flooded in for a 29-year-old man stabbed to death in Chapeltown.
Peter Wass, from Roundhay, was stabbed near to the junction of Hamilton Place and Hamilton Avenue at about 2.30pm yesterday (March 2). He was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead.
West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation and are urging anyone with any information to come forward. Tributes for the late victim have been paid online.

Natasha Granger said “Heartbreaking. RIP, you will be forever missed.” Craig Lamberto said: Bless up brother, RIP.” Kim Gilchrist added: “RIP young man. My condolences to family and friends. What is going on with this world?!” While Nicola Shepherd said: “RIP. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
Andrea Keep also offered condolences, saying: “RIP gone too soon, thinking of your family.” Betty Thompson Croly said: “Heartbreaking RIP.”
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Sam Freeman said: "Peter’s family are completely devastated at his death in such sudden and violent circumstances, and we have specially trained family liaison officers supporting them as we continue to progress the investigation into his murder.
"His family are urging anyone who knows anything about the circumstances surrounding Peter’s death to support the police investigation so that they can get the answers they need.
