They thanked everyone for their kind messages that helped Laura through some of her "toughest days" and said that the money raised will go towards Laura's chosen charities to "help give back to those who need it most."

She described the diagnosis in 2020, as "one of the hardest things to come to terms with" having considered herself relatively healthy and fit.

She said she at the time that she dreamed of "growing old and wrinkly after a successful career" with all the stresses of a family "in our ideal home."

Laura had travelled to Cancun in Mexico in the hope of receiving life-saving treatment and was under the care of the Hope4Cancer team, however her tumour's became much more aggressive.

"Rest in heavenly peace dear Laura, free from pain. So true are the words that "if love could have saved you..." , I don't think there was a soul that your story didn't touch, thinking of your husband, family and close friends," a second said.

Another tribute stated: "Laura your strength has been an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing u. In the arms of the angels now and looking down on all your loved ones."
