Tributes have poured in for a teenage boy who died after getting into difficulty while swimming at a north county Dublin beach on Monday.
Bradley Lulendo, 14, from Richmond Road in Dublin, was swimming in the sea with a young pal at Burrow Beach - known locally as ‘Hole in the Wall’ beach on the Howth peninsula.
It is understood he got into difficulty at around 7.30pm and the alarm was raised. Lifeguards on duty at the station went to his assistance.

Howth Inshore lifeboat was also tasked with the rescue operation along with Howth Coastguard Shore team.
Bradley was brought ashore in the lifeboat and later airlifted to Beamount Hospital onboard Rescue 116.
He was later transferred to CHI Temple Street where he later passed away from his injuries.
Tributes have poured in for the tragic teen with many offering condolences and their sympathies to his heartbroken family.
One person took to social media to pay tribute writing: “Very sad news. I feel for the boy and his family. Thoughts and prayers are with them. This is why teenagers need to be careful going to the beach,” while another wrote: “RIP with the angels young man. My sincere condolences to his family, relations and friends. Heartbreaking.”
Another wrote: “So sad. Holiday time can bring a lot of tragedy. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP angel sleep tight.”
Meanwhile, Fingal County Council confirmed there were three lifeguards on duty at the time of the incident and alerted the Coast Guard.
The council expressed its sympathies to the family and friends of the boy who died, and said it is assisting gardaí with their investigation.
Deputy Mayor of Fingal Cllr Cathal Boland, also expressed his sympathies with the boy’s family.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family,” Cllr Boland told The Star.

“It’s an awful tragedy when anybody loses their life but when it's someone so young, out enjoying themselves, it’s awful. It’s every parent's worst nightmare.
“We also have to think about his friend who was with him at the time. It was such a lovely, warm day and then turned to tragedy. We all need to take extra care all the time. It’s very sad.”
Gardai confirmed the teen’s tragic death on Tuesday morning.
In a statement they said: "Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at approximately 7:30pm on Monday, 11th July, at Burrow Beach, Co. Dublin.
“A male teen got into difficulty while swimming and was removed from the water.
"He was taken to Beaumont Hospital and then later to CHI at Temple Street in Dublin, where he later passed away from his injuries."
