Fond tributes have been made to a popular member of Paisley’s music scene who was found dead in Glencoe.
Gordon Don, who was known as Delta Gordy on the music scene, played with several bands and was a stalwart at the town’s many open mic nights.
Police confirmed the 48-year-old’s body was sadly found in the water at Lochan Na Craoibhe, Glencoe, on Wednesday, June 29.

In a statement his family said: “Gordon has gone too soon. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.”
Tommy McGrory, who runs the Loud N Proud music charity in the town and is also a Paisley music scene stalwart, paid his own tribute.
Paisley Daily Express columnist Tommy, who runs The Bungalow venue in Shuttle Street, said: “He was always out and about. I knew him first of all through the Status Quo scene, he was a big fan of theirs and used to come to see tribute bands.
“In Paisley he went to a lot of open mic nights, he liked blues music. He was a quiet guy, a nice guy. He was always there, always doing his thing.
“It’s a sad loss.”
Gordon was a regular at The Keg’s open mic nights and had posted a picture online of him playing guitar with the Clydesider Stompers at the bar’s fifth birthday celebrations.
A tribute on The Keg’s Facebook page read: “Sad news for The Keg and the music scene in general. We have lost one of life’s ultimate gentlemen.
“Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Delta Gordy was surely blessed. He was one of our Original Open Mic Performers and what a delight he was to us all of us. “Not very rock n roll of us but in the words of ABBA...Thank You For The Music Gordy.
“You’ll truly be missed from us all at The Keg.
“Heather and Trevor and the rest of our team have you in our hearts forever. Once a Kegger always a Kegger.....Keep on rockin my friend.”
Police confirmed the death isn't being treated as suspicious.
Detective Sergeant Joe Newson said: “Our thoughts are with Gordon’s family at this difficult time and they have asked for privacy.
“I would also like to thank the public who responded to our appeal to identify Gordon.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and, as with all sudden deaths, a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
