Tributes have poured in for a 'one in a million' biker who tragically died in horror crash in Luss.
Andrew Jowett, from Paisley, was riding his motorcycle on the A82 when it was involved in collision with a white Skoda Scala at roughly 6.40pm on Tuesday, June 13. The 37-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he he sadly died a short time later.
Following his death, family and friends have paid heartfelt tribute to Andrew, who has been described as a "great guy" and "one of the happiest, most positive people".
Posting to Facebook, Craig Jowett said: "It's in our moments of silence we reflect on times we've had, memories we've shared and people we've lost its hard to grip hold of the reality that you've gone. I've had a few days now to process and reflect and I still can't understand why you were chosen to be taken away so soon.
"You won't ever understand how much you are missed and loved. I'm so blessed to have known you so sad to have lost you but so happy to have you as family. Missing you so much already.
"You will always be the big cousin I looked up to and wanted to follow. Andrew Jowett until we see each other again."
While Liz Murphy-Parsons added: "Life can be so cruel sometimes. Fly high little cuz Andrew Jowett you'll sadly be missed by all, loved our little chats, till we meet again."
Arran Paddy Green wrote: "Can’t believe I'm writing this, we were only laughing and joking and talking about our future the other day in mine and how good things are getting now this. RIP Andrew Jowett you were one in a million, best dad, best guy and one of the happiest most positive people I know, gutted to think your gone and I won’t see ye again but until then.
"Fly high up there bro, love you."
And Paul Logan said: "Utterly heartbroken to lose a great friend this morning. I was lucky enough to be able to say goodbye one last time by his bedside.
"Rest easy Brother Andrew Jowett. Love you mate."
The road was closed for just over four hours following the crash on the northbound carriageway. An investigation into the collision is ongoing, with police urging anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson, Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Andrew’s family and friends.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the crash and I am appealing for anyone, not already been spoken to by police, who witnessed the crash or saw the two vehicles prior to the collision, to get in touch.
“I am particularly keen to hear from the drivers of a dark coloured Volkswagen Touareg and a white Arnold Clark hire van who were in the area at the time. It’s possible they may have information or have dash-cam footage that will be of help to our investigation.”
