Tributes have been paid to a "loving" dad who tragically died after being attacked in a pub.

Peter Walker, from Lancashire, was rushed to hospital following the assault. He tragically passed away on Monday, October 24.

The incident took place at 11.25pm on Saturday, October 22 at the Black Horse pub on Skipton High Street. Three men, aged 33 and 36, and 38, were previously arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, Yorkshire Live reports.

However, they have since been released on conditional bail while investigations into the incident continue. Following the announcement of his death, Peter's family described him as a "loving father".

In a statement, they said: " Peter Walker was a loving father, husband, brother and son. Pete will be missed by his family and also by the many friends and people who knew him.

“Pete was a happy-go-lucky person and well known for being outgoing and hilarious. If anybody needed any support Pete was always there to lend a hand.

"Sadly, Pete was taken away from us all too soon in tragic circumstances. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Rest in peace, Big Lad.”

Peter's brother Harry has launched a fundraiser to help and support Peter's immediate family. He said: "He was a devoted family man with an incredible sense of humour who was tragically taken from us yesterday."

Since the incident, tributes have come flooding in, honouring the man's memory. Ashley Diego Heys said: "I only saw him the other day, what a sad loss to the most genuine and friendliest person I have ever met in my life.

"Always had the time of day, for anyone. I remember a few months ago I was out in Skipton and he came out of nowhere gave me a hug."
