"My thoughts are with her many family members. I hope the many memories give them comfort at this sad time.
"To lose someone is always sad, but to lose a loved one at Christmas makes it even more difficult." Cllr Doolan added that he hopes that Annie's family "feel the support and solidarity that the whole country is giving them right now."
Annie received her first Covid-19 vaccine on December 29, 2020 at St James’s Hospital. She said at the time: "I feel very privileged to be the first person in Ireland to receive the vaccine.
“Like everyone else I have been waiting for the vaccine and I really feel like there is a bit of hope there now. It’s brilliant that it’s here."
Ms Lynch is survived by her three children and grandchildren. Her funeral details have yet to be announced.
