Tributes are pouring in for a young mum who was found dead in West Lothian on Saturday.
Our sister paper The Daily Record told how officers descended on Learmonth Crescent in West Calder just before 7pm on May 7.
The body of a 26-year-old woman was discovered at a property on the street.
The woman has been named locally as Aimee Cannon from West Calder.
Neighbours told the Record that the area was still on lockdown as of Monday morning at 9.30am.
One, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "Police attended and put up two cordons, an inner and an outer.
"They stood guard and today the street is still cordoned off.
"Detectives and forensics have been in and out.
"Our street is still a crime scene and they (police) are saying it is unexplained."
On Sunday afternoon, cops confirmed that an investigation is underway into the woman's death.
The circumstances around her passing are currently not known and her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A post-mortem will be carried out in due course.
A police spokesperson previously told the Record: “Police Scotland are carrying out enquiries into the death of a 26-year-old woman following a call to an address in West Calder at around 6.40pm on Saturday, May 7.
"A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course however the death is being treated as unexplained."
Police Scotland were contacted for further comment on Monday morning.
