Trial date set for man charged with Claire Holland's murder

A trial date has been set for the man charged with the murder of missing woman Claire Holland. Claire, from Lawrence Weston, went missing in Bristol's city centre 10 years ago and has not been seen since.

Today (August 5) Darren Osment appeared before Bristol Crown Court for the first time charged with killing her, after he was arrested on Tuesday, August 2. The judge set a date of March 13, 2023 for the murder trial to begin.

Osment, of Chessel Drive in Patchway, South Gloucestershire, was remanded in to custody following the hearing. The defence lawyer did not make a bail application on his behalf.

Claire was last seen leaving Seamus O’Donnell’s pub in St Nicholas Street, Bristol, at around 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. She has not been seen or heard from since.
