Peek on the fight's key moment
“I knew I could get the job done, and I knew I could get it done in the first round. It’s exactly how I thought it would go. I landed some really good shots, and he kept coming. I was a little surprised at his durability. I thought there was a couple of times he was done, so yeah, his durability was good.”
Peek on his UFC debut
“This is on the big stage. It’s up there at the top. I felt more at home this time compared to the (Dana White’s) Contender Series fight. I had nerves – got the best of me in the last one, and I just didn’t really feel like myself till maybe the second round of my Contender series fight. But I felt a lot more home on this one – just more comfortable. I’m in my element.”
Peek on what he wants next
“I’m ready to get in front of the crowd. I miss my fans terribly. I’m an entertainer and a performer, and I love the roar. I’m used to a pretty big fan base. I’m so ready to get in an arena. I just want to feel that roar of the crowd. The Miami card would be pretty cool coming up. Just really any arena, but especially somewhere kind of close to the Southeast region where my fans could afford to come and everything. But I’m not picky just any arena, really. I ain’t got nobody in mind, really. Just whoever – whoever they put in front of me, I’ll get the job done.”
