Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s return to Week 13’s Monday Night Football game against the Bengals appears to be in doubt following his scary exit due to an ankle injury.
With Jacksonville driving in the fourth quarter, Lawrence suddenly collapsed to the ground after his ankle was inadvertently stepped on by offensive lineman Walker Little as he dropped back.
Lawrence, initially, tried to stand before again falling to the ground and throwing his helmet in frustration. The 24-year-old required assistance to walk to the sidelines and eventually to the locker room, where cameras captured him walking very gingerly down the hallway.
Jacksonville’s drive ended with a missed field goal, forcing the team to regroup in more ways than one. The team later announced Lawrence was considered questionable to return with an ankle injury.
Trevor Lawrence tried to get up, fell back down, and the entire stadium gasped.

As the Jags continue to evaluate his condition, Lawrence will likely conclude the game in the locker room with backup C.J, Beathard set to fill in as Jacksonville tries to win a close game over the Bengals.
Prior to exiting, Lawrence compiled 259 passing yards and two touchdowns to go with five carries for eight yards and another TD.
