When the Jaguars went down by 27 points to the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC wild card round, it would have been easy for Jacksonville to give up and watch the game get out of hand (see: TCU). Teams often preach about a sense of belief, but that gets increasingly difficult when facing a huge deficit in the NFL playoffs.
But credit to the Jaguars, they approached the 27-point hole about as well as any team possibly could. There’s the footage to prove it.
During the latest edition of Inside the NFL from NFL Films, we were treated to mic’d-up video from the early portions of the eventual comeback win. Trevor Lawrence could be heard trying to urge his teammates to focus on chipping away at the lead, reminding the bench that there was plenty of time left.
The #Jaguars have the right kind of leaders on the team.

Josh Allen’s moment to himself was too cool. In basically giving himself a pep talk, Allen said, “They are kicking our ass. Time to change it.”
These videos never get old.
By now, we know what happened. The Jaguars stormed back to win, 31-30, and face Kansas City in the divisional round. That calm, collected approach played a huge part in extending the Jaguars’ season.
