There are cancellations on Merseyrail this morning due to a trespasser on the tracks.
Train services running to and from Kirkby are disrupted due to the police incident. It is not yet clear when services will get back to normal, but Merseyrail have expressed that alterations should be expected until at least 10am.
Services are running as scheduled on other lines including Ormskirk, Southport and Hunts Cross. However people wanting to travel from Kirkby, Fazakerley and Rice Line are being told to expect cancellations.

A Merseyrail statement reads: "Alterations to services at Kirkby Due to a trespasser on the railway at Kirkby the Kirkby line is disrupted. Train services running to and from this station may be suspended.
"If you have been affected by today's incident you may be entitled to a refund or compensation."
A spokesperson for British Transport police said: "We were called at 9.12am to reports that a person had been seen on the tracks near Kirby station. Officers are currently in attendance searching the area."
