Didn’t we JUST talk about this when it came to showing effort in baseball?
Trent Grisham — who hasn’t endeared himself to New York Yankees fans with his .165 batting average this year — was out in center field on July 4, when Cincinnati Reds infielder Jeimer Candelario hit a liner. Grisham took his sweet time getting to it, then bent over to field it with just his glove.
The ball hopped off his mitt, he bobbled it around, and Candelario made it into second with ease. The boo birds came out and rightfully so.
C’mon, man. You’ve got to show effort there! Here’s the play.
