Trent Alexander-Arnold has conceded Liverpool's current performance levels are unacceptable after the Reds' season reached a new low on Saturday afternoon.
Beaten 3-0 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium, Jurgen Klopp's side did not depict a side looking to issue a response after recent disappointing displays to Brentford and Wolves and were beaten far too easily for each of the home side's goals.
Level at the break, Liverpool were breached three times after the interval but did not come close to finding a way back into the game. Brighton have now moved above the Reds in the Premier League table, as has Brentford after their win over Bournemouth, ensuring Klopp's men have dropped to ninth in the division standings.

Hopes of securing Champions League football are fading fast as Liverpool continue to struggle for form, and Alexander-Arnold has admitted the Reds are aware they are falling short of standards. Responding to today's defeat, the right-back tweeted: "This isn’t good enough. We need to do better, and we will."
Another huge week is on the horizon for the Reds on the back of today's disappointment, with an FA Cup third round replay to come on Tuesday versus Wolves on Tuesday before hosting Chelsea at Anfield next Saturday.
