Did you get teary-eyed as James Milner said farewell to Liverpool supporters at the weekend?
Well, if you did, prepare yourself for round two as his Reds teammates have filmed an emotional tribute video following his exit. Signed in 2015 on a free transfer, Milner amassed 332 appearances for Liverpool - winning the lot in the process.
From Premier League and Champions Leagues to FA Cups and League Cups, the 37-year-old etched himself into the Anfield history books to become a modern-day legend. Milner will sign for Brighton when his contract expires next month - but not without receiving a shower of tributes from his former colleagues.

On a video posted by Liverpool’s social media team, Trent Alexander-Arnold recounted the time Milner offered advice to two young professionals. He said: “He fines me a lot. It’s not even running late, it’s just… on the minute is late on Milli’s clock.
“He’s relentless. If somebody is not doing the job that they need to be doing, doesn’t matter what department they’re in, they’ll be getting told. He holds everyone to a level and a standard. He expects that level from everyone across the board.
“When we beat Roma to get to our first Champions League final, I remember he said to me and Ben Woodburn in the changing room after we celebrated a little bit, for us to go back out and take it in.
“Because, although we were so young, you might never get to a Champions League final again. He made sure we went back out and embraced the experience. I’m so thankful for that.”
Jordan Henderson also honoured Milner, who arrived at the club the same summer he replaced Steven Gerrard as club captain. The long-serving skipper highlighted how important his ex-teammate’s off-field actions were to Liverpool’s on-field success.
“A lot of people will talk about the things that he brings off the pitch, demanding from other players, leading by example,” Henderson added. “But on the pitch, he brought it every single day. Whether that’s in training, or in games, you can rely on him.
“He’ll never let you down. I’ve learned so much from him so, for me, the most underrated player that I’ve seen. It helped me so much to have him next to me and always be there for me when I needed to. For me, I’ll probably miss him the most out of everyone.”
