Liverpool have been handed a major boost after Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to full training, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. And the right-back even has a slim chance of featuring against Watford in tomorrow's early kick-off.
Klopp has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold could feature against the Hornets, after stepping up his recovery from injury. The right-back suffered a hamstring issue before the international break which ruled him out of the win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup as well as a place in the recent England squad.
Alexander-Arnold has been building up his fitness over the international break, with the club posting photos of the full-back hard at work in the gym and on an exercise bike as he bids to return to action as soon as possible. Klopp has said that while it will be “tight” getting Alexander-Arnold fit for the weekend, he did not rule out the 23-year-old featuring against Watford.

“Trent trained yesterday in parts and will be in full training today, and we’ll have to see what we do with it,” said Klopp in his pre-match press conference. “He wanted to go to the national team, just to make sure everybody (knows), but he couldn’t.
“If you could see the scans, with these pictures you cannot go anywhere. But sometimes injuries, thank god, are not that serious that you are out for five or six weeks, sometimes it’s two weeks and that’s the case with Trent
“It will be tight for tomorrow but it’s possible from what I hear. It’s different if you are part of team training, it depends on what you could do before and he was with our rehab and fitness department.
”It was really intense what he did before he trained with us. Physically he should be fine, but I have to make the decision about rhythm and these kinds of things.”

The Reds boss did confirmed that Alexander-Arnold will be fit to start against Benfica in Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Klopp has also provided an update on other members of the Liverpool squad, including Naby Keita who was withdrawn from the Guinea squad for the international break due to a knee injury. The Reds boss says that Keita did not train on Thursday, and was waiting to see if he could take part in Friday’s session.
“He trained once and then he felt it again, so we will need to see,” said Klopp. “I’m not sure if he can be involved tomorrow.”
