Travis Kelce is exceptional at a lot of things and surely an outstanding tight end for the Chiefs.
But his pitching skills might need some work.
The eight-time Pro Bowler threw out the first pitch at the Guardians’ 2023 home opener against the Mariners on Friday and it was certainly not a Cy Young Award-worthy effort.
As he gathered his confidence on the mound, Kelce fired up the crowd. However, when the moment to deliver came, his pitch didn’t come close to reaching home plate.
The ball hit the ground and rolled past Guardians pitcher Shane Bieber in what was seemingly a hilarious moment for the two-time Super Bowl winner and everyone who witnessed the attempt.
Travis Kelce threw out the first pitch ahead of the Cleveland Guardians opener and it....did not go great 😂 @tkelce

Despite the awful pitch, Kelce on the mound was the perfect way to excite the fans at Progressive Field and kick off the Guardians’ first three-game home series of the season.
