Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce‘s home was burgled while he played in an NFL game with Taylor Swift watching on.
The boyfriend of Taylor Swift’s $6 million (£4.7 million) mansion in Leawood, Kansas, was broken into on October 7, with the incident being reported to authorities the next day, according to TMZ.
While details on what was taken remain unclear, it’s believed that Kelce, 35, may not have been the only target.
Reports suggest that the home of fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes was also burgled, raising suspicions that these incidents might be connected and part of a larger crime wave in the area.
On the night of the break-in, Swift, 34, was seen supporting Kelce as the Chiefs faced off against the Saints in a Monday Night Football game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in September 2023, and since then, they’ve often shown up to support each other—whether at his games or her tour dates.
It's believed that Kelce settled into his Leawood estate after their relationship became public. While Swift is currently wrapping up the North American leg of her record-breaking Eras tour, she took a break from her tour schedule to cheer on Travis at Arrowhead Stadium on November 10.
She’s been spotted at his games 17 times since 2023, initially making headlines from the VIP box.
The superstar’s next shows are set for November 14, 15, and 16 in Toronto, Canada, before the tour’s final leg in Vancouver this December.
The annual awards show will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2 2025.
The report comes after Swift received six nominations at the female-dominated 67th Grammy Award nominations.
Swift’s surprise double album The Tortured Poets Department will compete for album of the year, with her track featuring Post Malone titled Fortnight up for record of the year and song of the year.
It comes after Swift made Grammy history in February, as the first person to win album of the year four times.
The US star used her acceptance speech at the ceremony to announce the release of her 11th studio album, which saw her become the most-streamed artist in a single day on streaming platform Spotify.
Elsewhere, Beyonce led the nominations pack with 11 nods for her chart-topping country music album Cowboy Carter, which marked the follow-up to act one of the trilogy, Renaissance.
Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX, Post Malone and Billie Eilish all follow Beyonce with seven nominations each, while Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter each scored six nods.
The Standard has contacted Travis Kelce’ and Patrick Mahomes’s reps for comment.
