Travis Kelce Reacts to Difference in His Stats With and Without Taylor Swift in Attendance

Looking at Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's game-by-game numbers in 2023 would seem to tell a conventional story of in-season improvement. The future Hall of Famer—injured at the start of the year—has progressed from a measly 47.5 receiving yards per game in September to 107.5 per game in October.

However, a key variable has entered play over that timeframe: musician Taylor Swift. Swift, with whom Kelce has been reportedly spending time, has attended four of Kansas City's games this year.

On Wednesday's edition of New Heights with Jason and Travis KelceEagles center Jason—citing a graphic CBS displayed during the Chiefs' 31-17 win over the Chargers Sunday—pointed out the pronounced gulf between Travis's numbers with and without Swift in attendance.

After having a laugh at CBS's phrasing—which classified Travis's Swift-free games as him being "left to his own devices"—Jason brought up the fact that Kansas City coach Andy Reid had seemingly noticed the phenomenon as well.

"Not only is social media noticing it, it appears that Big Red is noticing it, because he weighed in in his postgame press conference," Jason said, citing Reid telling reporters Swift "can stay around all she wants."

"I love Coach Reid, man," Travis said.

Chuckling at the entire conversation, he noted the importance of Reid's opinion on the situation.

"Listen, when you're getting Big Red's approval and blessings, you know you're doing something right," said Kelce
