Even Travis Kelce thinks the NFL is going a bit too far in covering Taylor Swift's new interest in the Chiefs and their star tight end.
During this week's edition of their New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce asked his brother, personal business aside, if the NFL was "overdoing it" with embracing the Swifties.
"I think it's fun when they show who's at the game," Travis said. "I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching. But at the same time, they're overdoing it a little bit."
In fairness, Jason was leading his brother into that answer with his own opinion on the NFL hyping up the situation between Taylor and his rumored celebrity girlfriend.

"I just think the NFL is not used to celebrities coming to the games," Jason added. "Like basketball has it all figured out. They're all courtside, they're sitting there. They show 'em once or twice, but then they get back to the game."
But there are celebrities and then there are phenomenons. Taylor Swift and her fanatical fanbase bring a whole other level of interest to the NFL. As Jason points out, the league is learning how to handle that. Players and reporters can't help but notice when references are made to Swift on the NFL's official social media bios.
Many football fans who have little interest in pop culture are griping, especially when the Swift mania intrudes on the game. However, is this likely to change anytime soon? Probably not.
