Much of the focus this season on Travis Kelce has been off the field — for obvious reasons — but the Chiefs tight end is still putting together another All-Pro season that has opponents taking notice.
As a player who wasn’t drafted highly out of college, Kelce is the kind of player other later-round picks can turn to for inspiration. We saw exactly that after Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and Chargers.
Following Kansas City’s win — where Kelce had 179 yards and a touchdown — Kelce shared a postgame exchange with Chargers rookie defensive end Scott Matlock. The sixth-round pick from Boise State is still battling for a bigger role on the Chargers, so he went to Kelce for advice.
It didn’t disappoint.

Even through all the commotion that happens after a game, Kelce was willing to offer an opponent some valuable advice. It was clear that Matlock appreciated it too.
You love to see that.
