Travis Kelce explains on New Heights podcast why he did the heart hand celebration (it wasn’t for Taylor Swift)

We all thought Travis Kelce doing the heart hand celebration after a touchdown was for Taylor Swift, who’s known for that hand motion and who was in Buffalo to watch the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

But as we saw on a video from another angle, he did it toward Bills fans at Highmark Stadium and not toward the suite in which Swift and shirtless Jason Kelce were watching from.

On Wednesday’s New Heights podcast episode with Jason, Travis explained why he did the heart hands, around the 25-minute mark below: “I had to spread the love, baby! There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium, man.”

“The Bills coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy,” he continued. “Did it get a little disrespectful? One thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One thousand percent.”

He wouldn’t recount what was said, but he reported it was stuff that was said about families and “inappropriate” trash talk aimed at Patrick Mahomes. He understood it, but “it wasn’t mutual,” so he threw up the heart hands.
