Travis Kelce and teammates criticized for behavior following deadly shooting

Travis Kelce keep it chill like Sauvignon Blanc

Travis Kelce and Brittany Mahomes were seen enjoying a private dinner together following the tragic shooting incident that occurred during the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade. In a newly surfaced photo, Travis Kelce can be seen jubilantly raising his arms in celebration, while Brittany Mahomes sits in front of him, wearing a wide grin. The photo also includes Kelce's teammates, Creed Humphrey, Matt Bushman, and Tommy Townsend, all of whom are depicted with smiles on their faces. It is presumed that Patrick Mahomes, Brittany's husband, took the picture himself.

It is important to note that Kelce, 34, and his teammates have faced criticism for their behavior following the shooting. Exclusive video footage obtained by Page Six showed Kelce being escorted away by police in an unmarked car, only to later take selfies with law enforcement officers before entering the restaurant where the private dinner took place.

Before the controversy unfolded, the Chiefs players expressed their heartbreak over the tragic events that marred what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion. Kelce took to Twitter, stating, 'I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.' Patrick Mahomes also reassured his fans of his safety, sharing a post on his social media that said, 'Praying for Kansas City.'

Brittany Mahomes, who recently appeared as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie, also spoke out about the incident on her Instagram Story, describing it as 'traumatizing.' She expressed her prayers for Kansas City and America as a whole, emphasizing that violence is never the answer. She went on to express her embarrassment and disappointment, stating that the shooting had cast a shadow over the celebration of the Super Bowl win and had devastating consequences, with lives lost and people injured.

While her husband Patrick was not present in the photo, it is clear that the Chiefs players were attempting to find solace and support in each other's company during this difficult time. The fallout from the controversial events surrounding their behavior continues to be a topic of discussion and scrutiny.

It is crucial to remember the gravity of the tragedy that marred the Super Bowl parade. Our thoughts and condolences go out to all those affected by the shooting, and we hope that the Kansas City community can find healing and peace.
