Four motorways in Merseyside will be closed this week with delays expected for motorists on the M6, M53, M56 and M57.
The motorways will be closed for essential roadworks and National Highways has told drivers to expect delays. Much of the disruption will be overnight, with one daytime closure on the M56 westbound between junctions 11 and 12.
Drivers are being told to 'expect disruption' on Thursday and Friday between 8am and 5pm. This week (April 25 - May 1) there are no scheduled motorway works on Sunday, May 1.

Here's a list of all the motorway closures you can expect this week:
Monday, April 25
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 (Woolston Interchange) and 25 (Bryn) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21 (Woolston Interchange) and 26 (Orrell Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and four (Clatterbridge) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 northbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 12 (Rocksavage Interchange) and 11 (Preston Brook Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 northbound between junctions six (Kirkby Interchange) and seven (Switch Island) will be closed between 9pm and 5am.
Tuesday, April 26
The M6 Northbound will be closed between junctions 21 (Woolston Interchange) and 22 (Winwick Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 Southbound slip road at junction 21A (Croft Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and four (Clatterbridge) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 northbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
Wednesday, April 27
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 26 (Orrell Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook Interchnage) and 12 (Rocksavage Interchange) will be closed between 8am and 5pm.
The M57 northbound between junctions six (Kirkby Interchange) and seven (Switch Island) will be closed between 11.45pm and 5am.
Thursday, April 28
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 26 (Orrell Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 northbound between junctions three (Woodchurch) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook Interchnage) and 12 (Rocksavage Interchange) will be closed between 8am and 5pm.
Friday, April 29
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 26 (Orrell Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 northbound between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and seven (Netherpool Road Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook Interchange) and 12 (Rocksavage Interchange) will be closed between 8am and 5pm.
Saturday, April 30
The M53 southbound between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 northbound between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and six (Eastham Stoops) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
Sunday, May 1
