Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, a former contender for Kamala Harris' running mate, expressed his support for the vice president's selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Buttigieg commended Walz as an exceptionally effective governor and someone he enjoys working with. He highlighted Walz's Midwestern voice, military background, and common-sense values as valuable assets to the Biden-Harris administration.

Buttigieg, who also has military experience, has actively campaigned for Harris in the Midwest, particularly in Michigan, where he currently resides with his family. On Tuesday, Buttigieg was in Maine, advocating for the Biden-Harris infrastructure agenda.
