Translink has announced that lift access at Lanyon Place station will be out of action in August for upgrading. From August 1-27, passengers requiring lift access should make their way to their nearest station with the appropriate facilities.
Additional staff will be able to assist customers at Lanyon Place during the period of "essential engineering". Translink has apologised for any inconvenience it might cause to those travelling on their services.
A spokesperson for Translink said: "As part of Translink’s commitment to making public transport accessible to everyone, we are enhancing and upgrading the passenger lifts and escalators at Belfast’s Lanyon Place station. Essential engineering works will be carried out from 1 st to 27 th August 2022 and lifts will not be available during this time.

"We are working with IMTAC to minimise the overall impact of these works and we ask for patience and support while we improve the facilities. During the works, access to platforms will be via stairs and escalators. Passengers requiring lift access should travel to the nearest station with lift facilities - York Road, Botanic or Great Victoria Street, to continue their journey.
"We will have additional staff available to support customers at Lanyon Place Station and anyone needing assistance with alternative travel arrangements should get in touch with our Contact Centre on 028 90 666630. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience during the works."
