Transfer Update: Osimhen Excluded From Napoli Squad, Rabiot's Setback

Nigeria's Victor Osimhen is challenged by Ivory Coast 's Serge Aurier during the African Cup of Nations final soccer match between Ivory Coast and Nigeria, at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe in Abidjan,

The transfer deadline may have passed across Europe's top five leagues, but the summer transfer business is far from over. Despite the window closing, there are still ongoing developments in the world of football transfers.

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker, finds himself in a challenging situation at Napoli. Following a failed move to Chelsea, Osimhen has been left out of Napoli's Serie A squad list and is set to lose his No. 9 shirt number to Romelu Lukaku. The relationship between Osimhen and the club has soured, leading to his exclusion from the first team. Despite the transfer window still being open for three more days, no Saudi clubs are expected to make a move for him.

Arsenal is eyeing a future move for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, despite the recent arrival of Raheem Sterling on loan. The Gunners' sporting director is reportedly a fan of Gordon, and talks over a potential transfer could take place next summer. Gordon, who was linked with Liverpool, seems content at Newcastle, with contract talks ongoing to reward his past performances.

Adrien Rabiot continues search for new club, impacting Marseille's pursuit.

Adrien Rabiot, the former Juventus midfielder, will not be joining AC Milan this summer as he continues his search for a new club. This development has also impacted Marseille's pursuit of Milan's Ismaël Bennacer. Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic is a target for both Como and Monza after terminating his contract with Hajduk Split. Monza might have an edge in signing Perisic, who would need convincing to join a struggling Serie A side.

Atletico Madrid's Mario Hermoso is weighing offers from Galatasaray and Roma, with negotiations ongoing for a potential move to the Italian club. Sporting Lisbon has upped their bid for Nordsjaelland striker Conrad Harder, who is also on Brighton's radar. The 19-year-old Dane could be on his way to Sporting, with the Portuguese transfer window still open.

Lastly, Chelsea's David Datro Fofana is expected to depart in the coming days, with interest from clubs in Turkey, Greece, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Talks with Hoffenheim and Sunderland broke down on deadline day, leaving Fofana's future uncertain.
