Here is today's biggest transfer stories.

Manchester United to bid for Mason Mount

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are set to table a formal bid for Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount but a valuation gap between the clubs still exists.

The England midfielders current Chelsea contract expires in June 2024 but he has found himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge amongst the huge influx of new players since Todd Boehly bought the club last year.

The 24-year old has won the Champions League and Club World Cup in his time at Chelsea and is one of a number of midfielders that Erik Ten Hag fancies. However United won't be exceeding their valuation and will move onto other targets if the price is too high.

Brentford sign Schade in club-record deal

Brentford have signed Freiburg forward Kevin Schade for a club-record fee of €23m.

The 21-year old has signed a five-year deal after joining on loan for The Bees back in January. He's made 19 appearances for the London side and also recently made his international debut for Germany.

Brentford director of football Phil Giles said: “When Kevin joined us on loan in January, we agreed with Freiburg that the move would become permanent this summer if certain conditions were met, which included Brentford remaining a Premier League team for next season.

"We have all been pleased with Kevin’s contribution so far, both on the pitch and his professionalism off it, so to have him with us now until 2028 is fantastic for the club.

"We all hope both Kevin and Brentford can make further progress from here and look forward to the challenge.”

Spurs to approach Brentford over Goalkeeper Raya

Tottenham are keen on signing Brentford and Spain goalkeeper David Raya according to Sky Sports.

Brentford value the Spanish international at around €46m although both Tottenham and other potential suitors, Manchester United, are reluctant to pay that amount. Raya still has one year left to run on his current Brentford contract.

Tottenham are looking to replace their veteran 'keeper Hugo Lloris who will be leaving this summer in order to seek a new challenge. Lloris signed for the North-London outfit back in 2012.

Ironically, Raya was an Arsenal target three years ago but The Bees managed to keep hold and secured promotion to the Premier League the following season.

West Ham eyeing up Declan Rice replacements

West Ham are eyeing up a number of different options to replace talismanic midfielder Declan Rice who will be leaving this summer.

The recently crowned Conference League champions revealed an agreement made with Rice that allows him to move on, shortly after winning the competition.

The Hammers are interested in both Fulham playmaker Joao Palhinha and Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez according to Sky Sports News. Palhinha still has four years left on his Fulham contract and it has been confirmed by Tony Khan, Fulham's sporting director, that there is no release clause in his contract.

In other Hammers news, Harvey Barnes is a potential target for david Moyes following Leicester City's relegation from the Premier League.

Chelsea in possible swap deal for Inter's Onana

The Sun are reporting that Chelsea may resort to a swap deal in order to secure the services of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Inter have already identified a replacement stopper with Guglielmo Vicario of Empoli their favoured option. Inter are reportedly looking for around €63m for Onana.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Romelu Lukakau could be the players Chelsea swap in order to sign the talented Goalie. Lukakau spent last season on loan at the Italian giants and may have his stay extended.

Arsenal fancy a taste of Rice

Arsenal are planning on swooping for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice who is expected to leave West Ham following their UEFA Conference League victory according to Sky Sports.

A valuation difference apparently exists between Arsenal and The Hammers with Mikel Arteta's side happy to move onto other targets if the fee is too high.

€100m is understood to be the potential asking price with a deal more likely if Rice indicates The Emirates as his preferred destination.

Arsenal are also interested in Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan.
