Trams delayed after police called to 'concern for safety' in city centre

Trams were disrupted after a police incident in the city centre.

The incident was reported by NET at 7.10pm and stopped service between the Royal Centre and Nottingham Railway Station.

Police said that the incident, which had resulted in the closure of Fletcher Gate, had been due to a report for concerns for a person's safety which was safely resolved by officers.

The incident caused significant travel disruption, with NCT City Loop services unable to serve Fletcher Gate or George Street.

But it had been cleared by 8pm, with NET posting on Twitter: "The Police incident has cleared and we are running through to all destinations with some delays."
