Trainer Ellis Voices Concern Over Lomachenko Videos Ahead Of Davis Bout‌ Lomachenko Videos Cause Worry For Gervonta Davis’ Trainer. ‌

Gervonta Davis’ co-trainer Kenny Ellis took to social media to express his frustration over the numerous highlight videos of Vasily Lomachenko being uploaded on YouTube this week in anticipation of their potential unification lightweight title fight in November.

Kenny believes these uploads are intended to intimidate Tank Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) and his team ahead of the bout with Lomachenko. He predicts that the IBF 135-lb champion Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) “won’t see the twelfth round.” Kenny, however, overlooks the simpler explanation that uploaders are likely posting these videos to capitalize on the significant interest in the Tank vs. Lomachenko fight, hoping to earn easy money.

Fans suspect that Tank Davis’ team purposely delayed the fight until Lomachenko turned 36, believing they have a better chance of defeating him now that he’s no longer in his prime, unlike seven years ago when he first began calling out Davis in 2017.

“Phase 3 Studying Lomachenko: Why all of a sudden are these Lomachenko highlight videos popping up?” said Kenny Ellis on his social media page.

“Are they supposed to be intimidating or something? He won’t see the 12th with Gervonta Davis,” added Ellis.

Kenny Ellis should focus on improving Tank Davis’s skills instead of getting upset over Lomachenko’s highlight videos on YouTube. Tank has been relying too much on his power to win fights, often losing rounds and hoping his strength will save him.

This strategy won’t work against Lomachenko, who will likely evade Tank’s signature left uppercut. If Tank and his team are intimidated by Lomachenko’s videos, they should reconsider taking the fight and continue avoiding him, as they have done with Shakur Stevenson.

Given Tank Davis’s poor performance against Frank Martin, a B-level fighter, Lomachenko has a strong chance of winning by outboxing him. Beyond his power, Tank lacks boxing skills and is vulnerable against Lomachenko.

Mayweather Promotions’ decision to protect Tank Davis over the years makes sense after seeing his inept performance against Frank Martin. They recognized Tank’s reliance on power and kept him away from real threats at 130, 135, and 140 to safeguard their investment.
