Suspect named after more than £5,000 of damage to train crossing
A man has been named after being accused of causing damage to a Merseyside train crossing.
He has been charged with driving into a barrier at Maghull train station.
Police say the incident, that happened on February 18, caused delays across the Merseyrail network.

Officers said that such damage to the barrier and railway line could have led to serious injuries to travellers.

Plans for new Bold Street dine-in food market set for green light
Plans to bring a new dine-in food market to Liverpool City Centre could be approved next week.
The new food market would take over Radiant House in Bold Street, formerly occupied by Liv Organic and Natural Food Market.
A planning application has been submitted to Liverpool Council, with a decision by the Planning Committee due on Tuesday.

Bully who battered and threatened to kill his victim jailed
A domestic abuser has been jailed for threatening to kill his victim.
Adrian Tomick, of Windle Hall Drive, St Helens, plead guilty to two counts of assault and two counts of making threats to kill in Liverpool crown court.
The 29-year-old was sentenced to four years in prison by a judge on Monday, February 21.
