A new, weekly charter train service from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly has been launched by a train company. First class prices on the Intercity service start at £75.
The company say passengers can enjoy first class comfort in refurbished and restored carriages while travelling from London to Manchester in their Friday charter train.
Intercity state: "We are pleased to offer unmissable bargain priced day tours in First Class comfort on our modern high speed air conditioned inter-city train, hauled by celebrity diesel and electric locomotives to various destinations for a sightseeing break."

Running from today, August 26, Locomotive Intercity Limited, the new charter train service, will be operating from London Euston, calling at Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Crewe and Wilmslow to Manchester Piccadilly.
Carriages have been refurbished and Intercity state they have cushioned seating, panoramic windows, generously sized tables and additional legroom along with wide seats, plug sockets and panoramic windows, as well as a licenced buffet bar.
