Rubi Patricia Vergara and Erin Michelle West tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin. The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed their deaths, along with injuries to six others, two of whom are still hospitalized.

Erin Michelle West, 42, resided in DeForest, Wisconsin, and was a beloved teacher at Abundant Life. She had been a substitute teacher for three years before becoming the school's substitute coordinator. Described as kind, caring, and deeply devoted to her students, West's impact on the school community was profound.

Students at Abundant Life shared heartfelt memories of West, emphasizing her love for her children and her nurturing nature. She was known for her enthusiasm about her daughters' futures and her unwavering support for all students.
