The body of an international tourist has been found almost 24 hours after he went missing at a waterfall.
The 29-year-old man was with three other people when he entered the water at Babinda Falls in far north Queensland, about 2pm on Sunday.
The group raised the alarm when he failed to resurface, sparking an extensive search.
Police, SES, swift-water rescue crews and a helicopter were involved in the search that resumed early on Monday morning after being suspended overnight.
The man's body was located in the water about 11am.
"He may have dived into the pool (of water) and then just failed to resurface after that," Senior Sergeant Rob Campbell told reporters on Monday.
He said the pools of water near the falls varied in depth and warned people not to dive in "where you're uncertain of what's underneath".
Formal identification is under way to determine the man's identity, police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
