Details of Lisa Marie Presley’s tragic death have revealed the star sugared two cardiac arrests and her family signed a Do Not Resuscitate order.
The American singer was the only child of legendary musician Elvis Presely - who himself passed away in 1977 aged 47- and actress Priscilla Presley, 77.
Lisa-Marie was just 54 when she died suddenly earlier this monthafter her body was found at her home in the Calabassas neighbourhood of Los Angeles and she was rushed to hospital where she passed away.
Reports have emerged to suggest she suffered a cardiac arrest at her home and then a second one en-route to hospital - by which point her family had already ordered a DNR.
TMZ reports: “Lisa Marie Presley's heart stopped a second time after she was hospitalized, but due to her hopeless condition her family had already ordered doctors not to resuscitate her.”
The outlet claims a source told them: “Lisa Marie had been pronounced brain dead after she was admitted to the hospital Thursday… doctors put her in an induced coma and she was on life support.”
The source added: “Family members signed a DNR ... do not resuscitate order, in case she flatlined again.”
The report states that the singer suffered a second cardiac arrest, and was pronounced dead soon after.
Tributes have been flooding out since Lisa Marie’s tragic passing - with ex-husband Nicholas Cage, to whom she was married from 2002 until 2004, declaring the star had: “the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken.”
Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, who directed 2022's Elvis biopic, stated: “Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie’s kind embrace.
“Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world.
“I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper.
“Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love.”
Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland - where Elvis himself resided - and will be laid to rest next to the body of her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020.
Benjamin was just 27-years-old when he died, triggering an "unrelenting grief" for his mum.
He was buried in the Meditation Garden, which is also the resting place of his grandfather Elvis, great-grandmother Gladys, great-grandfather Vernon and great-great-grandmother Minnie Mae.
Lisa Marie had barely left the house in recent weeks, however, she did visit Graceland on Sunday to mark Elvis' 88th birthday.
