According to reports, the mother of the Ayyad family is currently missing, compounding the tragedy for their loved ones. At Abu Youssef Al-Najjar hospital, heart-wrenching scenes unfolded as relatives wept over the bodies of the deceased, who were tenderly wrapped in white shrouds.

The Ayyad family had been displaced multiple times from Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, northern Gaza, before falling victim to this deadly airstrike. An uncle of the family shared that many of the children were found with their remains scattered and missing in the aftermath of the attack.

Suzan Abu Touha, who lost her sister in the tragedy, highlighted the ongoing plight of families in Gaza who are constantly on the move, seeking safety amid the conflict. She emphasized the fear and uncertainty that gripped the Ayyad family as they searched for a place of refuge, only to meet a tragic fate in Rafah.
