Tragedy at Scottish beauty spot as young man dies after getting into difficulty

A young man has died at a waterfall and beauty spot popular with summer swimmers, police have confirmed. Emergency services were called to the Falls of Falloch near Stirling around 5.20pm on Saturday July 9.

Images taken from the scene show a shocked group watching on while emergency crews attend the scene. The 24-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead after his body was recovered from the water by the Police Scotland Dive and Marine Unit.

Officers say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances relating to the death, and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal, reports the Record.
