A woman has died after being discovered on the railway tracks at Leeds, police have confirmed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at 6.36pm on Saturday, October 29, following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Trains running between the city, York and Harrogate were disrupted while crews attended.
Train operator Northern said at the time: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Leeds and Garforth, the line is blocked. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes."

Sadly, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. British Transport Police confirmed an investigation into her death is now underway.
A spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to the line in Leeds at 6.36pm on Saturday, October 29 following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances behind her death."
