A body found at a popular walking spot has been confirmed as that of missing man Christopher Howard.
The discovery was made after mountain rescue teams were called out to Shire Hill in Glossop last Thursday (April 21). Police have now confirmed that the body was that of Mr Howard. The 37-year-old went missing from Nottingham last Wednesday.
The family of Mr Howard, who is from Glossop, have been informed of his death and a formal ID has taken place. Officers say they there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Howard's death.

Glossop Mountain Rescue were called by Derbyshire Police to search the Shire Hill walking spot to assist in the search for a missing person last Thursday. Mr Howard's body was found shortly afterwards.
