A missing woman from Didsbury has tragically been found dead, police have confirmed. Fizza Ahmed went missing on Thursday, March 31.
Now, GMP have issued a statement confirming that her body was discovered earlier today (Sunday). There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her passing.
“Earlier today, a member of the public sadly found a body which is believed to be that of missing Fizza Ahmed from Didsbury,” a GMP spokesperson said. Her next of kin have been informed.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file has been submitted to the Coroner. We send our condolences to her family.”
A statement from Didsbury Mosque asked members of the Islamic community to keep the Ahmed family in their prayers. It said: “Thank you to everyone for their support. A body has been found and is most likely Fizza’s.
“Please keep the family in your prayers during this very difficult and sad time.”
