An electrical fire left a busy junction in Bedminster without traffic lights this morning (Saturday, January 29).
Avon Fire & Rescue have issued a warning to commuters and pedestrians telling them to "avoid the area if possible".
The Fire Service received several calls about the fire, which was located at the junction of Parson Street and Bedminster Road in Bedminster.

In a tweet posted at 6:10am Saturday morning, Avon Fire & Rescue Service Control tagged Bedminster Fire Station and Western Power and stated that crews were "now dealing" with the fire.
The junction, which connects the A3029 with the A38, is close to a number of shops and businesses including a car dealership, florist and the Parson Street convenience store.
Buses also travel across the junction.
The full tweet from Avon Fire & Rescue Service Control read: "Green Watch Control received several calls to an electrical fire junc Parson St & Bedminster Rd, Bedminster crews now dealing but traffic lights out avoid area if possible".
