A video of locals enjoying a "normal" Tuesday evening in their local pub in Stockport, Greater Manchester, has gone viral on social media.
Managers of the traditional boozer, The Chestergate Pub, usually upload clips to Facebook of their karaoke nights, which are held in the pub on Tuesdays and Fridays.
But the reaction to one of their latest videos, titled "Oooh it's Tuesday choose your own Tuesday" has surpassed what the owners expected.
The film showcased a typical scene in the pub, with regulars ready to join in with the fun. One local could be seen lifting up his t-shirt at the camera, while an 84-year-old woman wearing a glam fringed dress could be seen chatting to a young man at the bar, before she showed off some dance moves.
The rest of the pub could be seen getting into the frivolities, as they all danced and sang along to The Four Tops' hit song "I Can't Help Myself".
Viewers of the clip were all quick to point out how all the pubgoers looked like they were having the best time ever, calling it "the best pub on earth".
The pub's manager, Steph Armstrong, 34, said she was stunned by the public's reaction, with the video raking over 1million hits in a fortnight.
She said: "We try and do live feeds and a bit of insight into what goes in the pub, and show everyone enjoying themselves. But we couldn't believe it when we saw this one had reached over a million people.
"There's quite a lot of regulars here, they're just a really lovely bunch. It's like a little community pub, they're all friends and there's a lovely atmosphere where everyone sings and dances and feels safe and happy."
Plenty of viewers left their thoughts in the comments section of the video, with one person writing: "Proper pub! Love places like this where the locals have a great time." Another said simply: "Best pub in the world".
A couple of other people pointed out how nice it was to see people looking so happy, with one user commenting: "They are thoroughly living their best life and it's heart warming to watch", and another typing: "Love seeing this let them have their fun too much misery going on in this country recently crack on."
One woman liked how relatable the scene was, writing: "I laughed at the lady in the beautiful black dress the label was hanging outside the back that's something that would happen to me good on her", and another chiming in: "Stockport's finest, lad at bar has pulled grab ya coat lad."
Steph said: "As I'm from Stockport myself I know a lot of the regulars, a lot of them are lifelong friends and it's just really nice to have a pub in my hometown."
The Mersey Square pub holds karaoke nights from 2pm to 8pm every Tuesday and 2pm to 10pm on Fridays, alongside hosting theme nights on the first Saturday of every month.
