Woody and Buzz have been reunited in the first look teaser for Toy Story 4.
The fourth instalment in the Disney Pixar franchise reunites sees the duo back together with Jessie, Mr Potato Head and all the lovable characters for an adventure with new owner Bonnie.
Bonnie, who took custody of the toys from Andy years ago, has added a new toy called Forky to the pack who suddenly widens Woody’s world.
The trailer doesn’t give anything away, only showing the characters floating through the air backed to a psychedelic version of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now.
Toy Story 4, which will be released nine years after the last, is directed by Josh Cooley, who originally revealed the June 21, 2019 release date on Twitter earlier this year.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return to voice Woody and Buzz, respectively, with Allen revealing that he had to “resist getting emotional” when he filmed his final scenes.
Allen told The Talk: “I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story. It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled.
“I couldn’t even get through the last scene. I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away.
“They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”
The first film, released by Pixar in 1995, was an instant success with audiences and has stood the test of time with its popularity. Toy Story 2 followed in 1999 before a third instalment hit cinemas in 2010.
Toy Story 4 will be released on Friday, June 21 2019.
