A popular toy bought by almost 30,000 people across Ireland has been urgently recalled due to fears of ‘long term’ impacts on children’s health.
The affected product is the Skumvoks light clay mix which was sold in Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores across Ireland.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission issued a recall notice on Friday, warning that there is a ‘chemical risk’.

It said it has levels of boron, which can result in skin irritation, diarrhoea or vomiting.
“The risk presented by the product is chemical. The product contains increased levels of boron. Exposure to increased levels of boron may result in skin irritation, diarrhoea or vomiting,” it explained.
Worryingly, the CCPC also noted: “There can also be long-term impacts on children’s health.”
Around 29,421 of the affected products have been sold throughout Ireland.
They have model numbers 3036547 and 3014809, and the barcode 0200030148097.
Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any Flying Tiger Copenhagen for a full refund.
