A development application for 60 townhouses has been lodged for Denman Prospect, marking the next phase of work in the suburb.
The houses, planned for Block 1, Section 116 on Stella Young Way, would be three storeys.
The plan includes a mix of two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom dwellings with garages.
Most include ensuites, at least one ground floor bedroom and two living areas.
Residents would enter into the complex via streets already zoned for the area.
Known as "River Run", the proposed development is in Denman North, close to the Molonglo River.
It is the outermost area of the suburb to the west and is surrounded by bush on three sides.
The proposed development has an emphasis on green spaces, with a large number of trees, communal gardens and grass areas proposed for between the townhouses.
It would include more than 100 rock correa shrubs and a large number of natives, including banksias, bottlebrushes and grevilleas.
While most of the southern areas of Denman Prospect have been developed, at least 15 northern blocks are yet to be released.
A number of two- and three-bedroom townhouses are currently for sale in the suburb, including off-the-plan designs.
Denman North is the third stage of Denman Prospect, being developed by the late Terry Snow's Capital Estate Developments.
Most of the suburb is being marketed to young families and workers, with a mix of five-bedroom houses scattered among smaller builds.
The development application for Stella Young Way has been lodged by group and town planning agency, PlanIt Strategic.
Capital Estate Developments is building a 700-apartment development in Denman North, called The Borough, which will include hundreds of build-to-rent homes.
Originally proposed as a development entirely for long-term rental properties, The Borough will now include some apartments for sale.
Bronte Group, the project management arm of local construction company Nikias Diamond, has also applied to build 152 apartments and units in the suburb.
A gastropub has recently opened in the developing suburb.
The development application is open for community feedback until August 28.
