Excitement is building in Manchester this evening ahead of tonight's Champions League final. The city centre is full of blue shirts as City fans bask in the sunshine ahead of the 8pm kick off.
Shambles Square and the Northern Quarter are among the spots most popular with football fans readying themselves for what could be a historic evening for the Blues. The Manchester Evening News spoke to several fans who were quietly confident ahead of the game. It is a particularly special night for City fan Dave Moss was in Stevenson Square with Lindsay Moss and Michael Hunt.
He once played with City great Colin Bell, and won a Central League winners’ medal in 1979 during a six-year-stint for City’s reserves. He was confident, but wary of the threat posed by Inter Milan.

"I think we will win, but it won’t be easy," he said. "People are saying we are big favourites, but on the day I think inter will sit back. They are not there for nothing.
"That being said this set of City players have a different mindset. It’s not typical City. If we win, it will be fantastic."
Rosie Moore, 23, is planning on watching the game with her dad Peter, who moved to the UK from Australia more than 30 years ago. She said: "I used to go to the games with my dad, so I’ve been going since I was six years old.
"I’ve been through the sh**** sh**** phase. My dad is from Australia and he actually moved to Manchester for the team, I couldn’t tell you why City, but he always says that’s why he did it."
Dave Ciaramella, 32, is part Italian but said he has no split loyalties tonight. He said 'thankfully' none of his 'nearest and dearest' are Inter fans.
He said: "I've been a City fan all my life. Tonight I’m hopeful, but there’s always typical City.
"I hope we don’t stuff it in the last minute! If there’s a team (good enough) to do (the treble), it’s this one. This year should be it."
