Jake McLean revealed he desperately wanted to be a dad before he was killed in a car accident in Turkey yesterday.
The ex-boyfriend of TOWIE star Yazmin Oukhellou, 33, is said to have been driving when he 'lost control' of the vehicle and was sadly unable to be saved by emergency services.
Yazmin, 28, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Jake previously dated co-star Lauren Goodger.
Back in 2015, the former couple opened up about their romance as they discussed their plans to have children together and maybe tie the knot.
“We speak about it a lot," he said. "For me, getting married and having kids is what life is about. I can’t wait to start a family together."
“Starting a family is the most important thing for both of us, getting married isn’t really a priority.”
He then added: "My family love Lauren. After I introduced her to my aunts they all texted me saying how beautiful they thought she was and telling me not to let her go," reported OK!
The pregnant star is yet to speak about the tragedy, but one cast member told the Daily Mail: “Nobody is quite sure what they were doing out there, we thought they'd split up, but apparently he was involved in some sort of business deal.
"But whatever's gone on this is just heart-breaking. It sounds very, very serious, perhaps life-changing."
As fans await news about Yazmin, her famous friends have been sending their love.
Harry Derbidge wrote: "Thinking of you @yazminoukhellou”, while, Amber Turner penned: "Thinking of you. Can everyone keep Yaz in their prayers tonight."
Amy Childs also sent her best, posting red heart alongside a trio of praying hands emojis.
Meanwhile Katie Price shared her sympathy, sharing a photo of Yaz in on her Instagram story today.
She then made tributes to both Yazmin and Jake, writing: "Devastating news RIP Jake McLean and sending strength and love to @yazminoukhellou" followed by a crying face and red heart emoji.
