The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Sims has confirmed she is dating Dan Edgar, and revealed he “could be the one”.
Sims and Edgar’s relationship sparked concern earlier this month after they got close on a holiday to Thailand.
But, despite concern from her family and friends, Sims told The Sun Online: “Me and Dan are just seeing how it goes. We have grown close over four years of friendship. He could be the one.
“The idea that it was a holiday fling in Thailand made it sound cheap! I am not a fling type of girl and I wouldn’t cry my eyes out about a fling.”
Sims added that the pair were “spending time together” and that it was important not to put “pressure” on the relationship and “damage their friendship”.
Edgar was embroiled in a bitter split with his ex Amber Turner before Christmas. The pair had been together for just over a year. Turner was later axed from the ITVBe show for refusing to film with her ex-boyfriend.
In last Sunday’s episode, Sims was left in tears as she discovered what her friend James Bennewith – known as Diags – thought about her new romance.
Sims’ cousin, Joey Essex, is also reportedly struggling to get on board with her relationship because he isn’t convinced Edgar will take care of Sims and her daughter Madison.
Sims told The Sun Online that Essex was “one of the first people she spoke to” and that she “got that he felt a certain way” but she wasn’t going to let it “stand in the way of happiness”.
