Yazmin Oukhellou has broken her silence following the tragic car crash in Turkey which saw on-off boyfriend Jake McLean die and left the TOWIE star with serious injuries.
Speaking publicly about the horrific experience for the first time, the reality TV star has denied claims she and Jake had been arguing prior to the crash, and explained how she had to snap her own arm to escape the car.
Yazmin has also clarified what her relationship status with Jake was prior to his untimely death earlier this month - saying she loved the late businessman "so hard" and they had planned to reconcile.
The reality TV star, 28, arrived back in the UK earlier this week after being discharged from hospital after undergoing surgery due to her arm being seriously injured.
Doctors told Yazmin she was 'lucky' to have survived the horrific crash which saw Jake pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday July 3.
The TV star and Jake - who previously dated Lauren Goodger - are believed to have first become a couple in May last year, with Yazmin confirming their relationship on Instagram the following December before splitting shortly after.
Speaking with The Sun, Yazmin explained how the pair were "off" when she visited Turkey but had planned to reconcile.
"Jake and I had been on and off for years. He was in Turkey with friends and I thought, ‘Do you know what? It’s only four hours away, I’ll go there on the Friday and get back to filming for the Tuesday and not tell anyone I’m even going there," she recalled.
"When I flew out we were off but we wanted to reconcile. I got there on the Friday at two in the morning, we had gone straight back and got to sleep, and then on Saturday we had the best day with our friends at a beach club."
Yazmin then goes on to say how things had been "perfect" before they began travelling to a friend's villa prior to the horrific crash taking place.
She remembers being tired during the journey and falling asleep - something doctors say possibly saved her life due to her body being more relaxed as the car veered off a cliff.
Jake, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene when their Mercedes car overturned after plunging 30ft into a ditch in the holiday resort of Bodrum at 4.30am in the morning.
Yazmin heartbreakingly thought Jake was "just unconscious" when she first discovered they had crashed, and asked a passerby to help him.
"They were helping me. I was like, ‘Please can you just help him’ and they were like, ‘We just need to take him to another hospital," she recalled to the publication.
Sadly Jake, 33, was declared dead at the scene as Yazmin was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Speaking about the late businessman, the TOWIE star describes Jake as "only person I have ever felt a love like that for", and says the ordeal will be a "very, very difficult" thing for her to process.
"This will stay with me for life. But for me, I loved him so hard and that’s why I travelled across the world to be with him," she added.
